- Our Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) is 0.88. The industry average for roofing contractors is 3.9.
- Our Experience Modification Rate (EMR) is 0.55. The rate baseline EMR is 1.
- 1 million+ hours worked without an OSHA Recordable injury
- 2 million+ hours worked without a Lost Time injury

Simon Safety Initiatives
Our safety program is well-documented with initiatives starting as soon as an employee is hired. This training continues throughout all employees’ careers at Simon, including weekly Toolbox Talks, safe work incentives and more.
Before any job begins, a member of our safety team reviews the facility and sets up site-specific safety plans. Safety monitoring continues throughout any job and is monitored with both scheduled and random inspections done in-person and via drones in real-time technology.
Simon Roofing’s full-time Environmental Health and Safety Department is available 24/7 for employees to call with questions or concerns. The reason for all of the safety-related diligence is easy – our goal is for all Simon employees, whether on the roof, in the office or in the manufacturing facility, to be able to return home safely at the end of each workday.
