Question: How does the weather impact my roof?

Answer: Environmental issues impacting the roof can be classified in three areas: weathering, ultraviolet (UV) rays, and heat. Those three work together to degrade the roof.  Heat and UV causes oxidation in the roof membrane which causes the roof to lose its strength and longevity. In addition, weathering will erode the roof and at a specific point, you will experience roof failure and leaks.
