Simon Teaming and Mentoring Program (S.T.A.M.P.)The Simon Teaming and Mentoring Program (S.T.A.M.P.) is designed to support small, women-owned, minority, veteran, and disadvantaged businesses. The program will help strengthen their experience, expand their capabilities, and will facilitate government and corporate contracts across the country. Simon Roofing has an outstanding track record for developing strategic partnerships within the roofing and roofing products distribution industries. Establishing a teaming and mentoring program is a natural progression for Simon and is an integral part of Simon's growth strategy.

Since its inception, our company's intent has been to provide excellence in service and customer relations. In recent years, Simon Roofing owners have discovered that building relationships with small businesses, and teaming with those businesses on projects, is pleasing to a number of customers. Simon's initiative for a small business training and mentoring program will cater to the wants and needs of its customers, while establishing firm partnerships with shared education and resources. Both Simon Roofing and your business will benefit from S.T.A.M.P., while establishing a partnership built for long-term success.

Objectives

  • Initiate teaming opportunities with experienced small, minority, veteran, women and disadvantaged businesses that service a wide variety of customers in the roofing and construction industries.
  • Offer technical assistance and training, so that the partnering small business can enhance its understanding of business prospects.
  • Encourage participation from the partnering small business during the Request for Proposal process, so that both Simon's strengths and partnering business' strengths are clearly stated.
  • Host semi-annual meetings/workshops to promote further education and training.
  • Collaborate with the partnering small business to ensure that a strategic alliance is built and that both companies are gaining from the relationship.
  • Document the partnering process to make future teaming opportunities more effective.

Simon Roofing and Sheet Metal Corp. has been family owned and operated since 1900. Boasting more than 110 years of experience, the company is a nationwide leader in the commercial roofing industry. The 42,000 square-foot facility has the ability to produces more than 30 million pounds of materials each year and specializes in the production of various coatings for roofing and flooring. The SR Plant is also ISO 9001:2008 certified.

Government clients have consistently given high marks to Simon Roofing's work, including outstanding reports from Federal Prisons, Federal Courthouses and the Department of Defense. Simon continues to work with various government clients including projects for the VA, US Army, USPS, Department of Justice, US Air Force, USACE and more. Simon also provides national service to a number of major retailers and other corporations that own multiple buildings countrywide.
